Devbhumi Public School


Academic session is divided into two term first term is from April to September and second term is from October to March. The school teaches students from NCERT books for all round education in English, Hindi, Mathematics (Basis and Standard), Social Science up to class X. For class 10+2 School has facilities for two streams Science (English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physical Education) and Commerce (English, Hindi, Accounts, Business studies, Economics, Physical Education). In addition, school also provides education in yoga, arts, music, general knowledge, environmental Science, and computers.


Examination and Evaluation


Performance of each student is evaluated through unit tests, half yearly and final examinations with periodic Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM). A detailed report card comprising of the results of both academic and non-academic activities is compiled two times in the academic year, to appraise the students and parents on the progress of their wards. Information regarding student attendance, behaviour character and performance in sports and extra-curricular activities is also mentioned in report card. 75% attendance is compulsory for all students to appear in the final examination held at the end of the academic session.

In Case of Absence


No leave of absence is granted except on an application by parents or guardians for acceptable reasons only. Repeated absence without leaves or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days, renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the roll. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee at the discretion of the principal. A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate, permitting him/her to attend the school. Holiday dates are issued well in advance, and we would ask that children are withdrawn from school time only when it is unavoidable. Parents are requested to submit a leave application in the instance of child being absent from school. No child is allowed to leave the school during school hours, without a note of request from parents duly signed by the principal.
